Where to find team USDR at the Code for America Summit
Partner:
We're heading to Chicago for the Code for America Summit May 7–8, and we'd love to see you there.
Government attorneys are often portrayed as barriers to innovation—but the best ones are secret weapons. This panel features three attorneys who championed digital transformation for New Jersey's unemployment insurance modernization, the U.S. Digital Service, and Boston's digital team. Attendees will learn how to identify attorney allies, set them up for success, and get legal support—not just legal review—plus hear real stories of attorneys creating air cover for bold experimentation. Designed for government technologists, digital service teams, and anyone navigating legal barriers to innovation, this moderated panel will feature case studies of risky bets attorneys enabled, followed by interactive Q&A to help attendees troubleshoot their own challenges. Attendees will leave knowing how to partner with attorneys who help them ship.
Presenters:
Come grab a drink and some post-Summit conversation with the Institute for Responsive Government and U.S. Digital Response teams! We'll be hanging out at Il Culaccino (2134 S Indiana Ave, Chicago, IL 60616). RSVP here.
USDR’s own Marcie Chin and Michael Boyce will be in the Demo Lab showing the AI translation work we did with Arizona to improve benefits access.
Krista Canellakis and Michaela Caudill will also be around all summit. Say hi!
